N95 Masks - KN95 Masks - FFP2/FFP3 Masks

Filtering Face-piece Respirators (FFR) which are certified to have met the various regulatory standards function very similar to one another.

N95 masks are regulated by the CDC and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).

KN95 masks are regulated by the Chinese government under regulation GB2626-2006.

FFP2 respirator masks are certified by the European Union to meet the standards of CE regulation EN 149:2001+A1:2009 for filtering up to 94% of particles.

N95s and KN95s are both rated to capture 95% of particles.

Two minor differences KN95 masks are required to pass fit tests, while N95 are not.

N95 masks have slightly stronger breathability standards.

N95 and KN95 masks both filter up to 95% of particles and create an air tight seal around the face.
